Psalms 7:9 – Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
The word “reins” has to do with desires, mind, or inner most being. This is a sobering reminder that we must maintain right motives in all that we do. Though no one else may see the heart, God still does.
It seems as though our world is becoming more and more corrupt morally. Rest assured, this will come to an end.
Men sees the outward. Men’s standards may change from one person to the next; but the Lord sees the heart.
He knows the motives and desires of each person. The thought of being JUST is contextually something that proceeds from the inside. It is not something you or I can accomplish. While some men place a great emphasis upon works they do as the means to gain merit with God, the righteousness of man is insufficient in the eyes of God. It is only the righteousness [II Cor. 5:21] of Jesus Christ, the God-Man, that is sufficient to make one just before God.
So, do you truly know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior? The Lord knows if you do or not. Do not waste another minutes. Turn from your sin and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ [John 3:3, Romans 10:9 - 10, 13].
