Preparing in the Summer
In Ohio, we have now entered the snowy season. This is a time when some of us HOPE for snow while others DISLIKE the snow. Personally, I hope for snow in abundance! Someone who knows the seasons would understand the importance of preparation. Some purchase salt. Some get their snow blowers ready. Others have little preparation; but nonetheless they make sure they know where everything is located so that when the first snow comes, they are ready to shovel the driveway or sidewalks. Preparation is important in every area of life.
Proverbs 30:25 says, “The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer…” The ants are given to us as an example. Though they are not strong, they are diligent [hard working] and prudent [foreseeing]. The realization that there is coming a time when they will not be able to work is instinctive to these little creatures.
The Word of God teaches believers that there is coming a time when our work here on earth will be done. There is coming a time when we will no longer be able to work. Here are some questions:
1. Are you personally ready to meet the Lord? Ye must be born again!
2. Are you preparing others to meet the Lord? Who have you shared the Gospel with recently?
3. Are you preparing others to prepare others? Yep, you read that right! Are you teaching others to teach others?
Prepare while you are in your summer, because there will come a time when you will have to live with the FRUIT of your DECISIONS.

This is a blog to edify [build up] and equip the saints. I pray it will be a blessing to you.
